I’ve been an Outlook user for close to a decade. I like it…without Microsoft and their products, operating systems as we know them today would definitely be different. I’m not one of those guys who likes to sit around and bash Microsoft…each OS has its plusses and minuses, and personal preference leads to strong opinions. I take the middle road…if you like Macs…great. Prefer Windows? Awesome. Think Linux rules the server OS market? Right on. (more…)
Last year, I wrote my first State of the VoIP Address. In that blog post, I discussed how VoIP over the WAN was just not yet ready for prime time (still true), how having VoIP on the LAN and POTS/PRI for PSTN connectivity is the best bet for a reliable business class VoIP PBX (still true), how legacy PBX systems are going the way of the Dodo (VERY true), and how there was a void in the VoIP call center space (not so true anymore!). I read this article by Garrett Smith last night and just found myself thinking ‘Well said Garrett…’ Quite a good pep talk for trixbox Resellers…now is a great time to push hard for VoIP PBX systems…customers are now more than ever looking to save their nickels and dimes, and going with a trixbox Pro solution over a legacy PBX or even a Cisco solution will practically sell itself on price alone.
